Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj attend the premiere screening of American Idol‘s twelfth season on Wednesday (January 9) at UCLA’s Royce Hall in West Los Angeles. The ladies were joined for the screening and Q&A session by fellow judges Keith Urban and Randy Jackson, as well as host Ryan Seacrest. “Had so much w/the Idol Q&A! Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey take the stage at the 2013 Winter TCA Tour panel for American Idol held at the Langham Hotel on Tuesday (January 8) in Pasadena, Calif. The two new American Idol judges were joined on stage by fellow newcomer Keith Urban, as well as Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest, and producer Nigel Lythgoe. Mariah recently spoke with Barbara Walters about the fight she had with Nicki. “Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, that’s just — it’s not appropriate,” Mariah said. “I’ve got two babies; I’m not going to take any chances. Yeah, I did hire more security. I just felt it was the appropriate thing to do.” Check out the interview below!

American Idol judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson take the cover of The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest issue. Here’s what the judges, who shared the cover with host Ryan Seacrest, had to tell the mag: Nicki, on the stigma of being on the show: “[There's] a judgmental culture in hip-hop…sometimes you are afraid of being too famous because it’s almost, like, is that even cool? Being that accessible, someone you see on TV every week? I never pictured myself as that type of person. I’m still surprised that I decided to do it.” Keith, on contestant’s desires to win: “It shouldn’t be about fame or money. It should be your calling. This is what you do. Mariah Carey shimmers in a golden dress while arriving to film segments for the Hollywood Round of American Idol on Thursday (December 13) in Los Angeles. Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, and Keith Urban were also on hand to decide the fate of the contestants. “We’ve jelled really, really well as a group,” Nicki told reporters (via People) about her relationship with Mariah. “We have a great chemistry. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj arrive at a studio to film segments for the upcoming season of American Idol on Wednesday (December 12) in Los Angeles. The ladies were joined by their fellow judges Randy Jackson and Keith Urban. Before heading into the studio, both Mariah and Nicki had their makeup touched up outside. It was just announced by Fox that Idol will be returning to the small screen for a two-night season premiere on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17. Stevie Nicks has issued a statement of apology over the negative comments she made about Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey‘s American Idol fued. “I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj’s behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews,” Stevie said in a statement to JustJared.com. “It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking. I think all artist should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry.” Stevie‘s original statement, made to The Daily, involved some harsh words towards Nicki.
